Born long ago and far away, Margaret has been aware of her artistic nature since kindergarden. Her teacher, who was an artist, announced that Margaret, too, would be an artist someday.

Margaret took a degree in textbook illustration in North Dakota and did some graduate work in family systems in Alabama.

She spent many years as the softer part of a mom and pop team, rehabilitating elderly rental propery in Birmingham's historic Southside. Margaret found that her approach to decorating was met with enthusiasm by prospective tenants. She whimsically wondered if one might use similar materials on a smaller scale to produce art to look at rather than to live in.

Margaret is a member of the Alabama Designer/Craftsmen and the Birmingham Art Association.
